Book summary:
It was December 20th 1880 when Castor’s brother Pollux disappeared in the capital of Alexanderia. Day and night, the boy searched the city for his twin but it was as if Pollux's footsteps had vanished under the snow. Whispers amongst the vagrants said human traffickers were roaming the streets, kidnapping their children. The police turned a blind eye when the lower class folk tried to report their missing children. Witnessing their indifference to their anguish, Castor was filled with a rage that could not be quelled and honed his anger into the fuel that kept the memory of his brother alive.
Years later, Castor had become an officer of the law, dedicating his free time to investigate the disappearances of the impoverish. Today, however, Castor was assigned crowd control as the crown prince was. being coronated. As the rattle of the royal carriage signaled Castor to be on guard, he couldn't help but take a glance at the soon to be king. Swathed in refinement and jewelry that was beyond his pay check was a face that he had years to get acquainted with.
His own.
